What’s more fun than a live comic reading by Colleen AF Venable and Stephanie Yue?  A live comic reading by Colleen AF Venable and Stephanie Yue AND a bunch of kids!

Several young Guinea Pig fans took part in the reading of The Ferret’s a Foot, playing such roles as Gerry the snake and numerous goldfish.  They were excellent readers, everyone!

A cartooning workshop followed, in which everyone invented their own character.  Some favorites were: the pear who rides a motorcycle, the penguin who likes cheese and Salsa Man (and his arch rival Ketchup Man).

Look for the March 15th issue of BooklistI Love Him to Pieces received yet another positive review!  Congrats, Evonne and Janina!

Here’s an excerpt:

“Tsang and Görrissen’s entry in the new My Boyfriend Is a Monster graphic-novel series cashes in on the current zombie craze, but it does so with style and humor. Dicey and Jack are extremely likable characters—as are the bit players—and their young romance is crafted slowly enough to get readers invested in it…. Görrissen’s refreshing, black-and-white art gives the story a crisp, modern fell, with clearly individuated characters and realistic body types. A great beginning to a fun new series.”  –Francesca Goldsmith
